Overview

The wonderful Kanker Palace is situated in the thick tropical forestland of the central Indian state of Chhattishgarh. History of Kanker Palace

Set in the backdrop of a garden, this magnificent palace was built in the year 1937. Its earlier name was Radhanivas Bagicha. During the British period it was the residence of the British Agent presently it is the home of Royal family. This stately and colonial style hotel has been able to somewhat maintain its old ambience and charm. In the right wing of this palace, five suites have been structured to accommodate the tourists. These suites are equipped with all types of modern facilities such as Western style toilets and baths. Conscious attempts have been however made to retain the age-old typical flavor of the region.

Holiday packages are also offered by the hotel. It includes tours to the nearby regions of Kanker and Bastar. A large variety of tours are organized in the nearby forests and the tribal villages. Other tours include wild life jeep safaris and boating safaris and angling in the secluded part of rivers and back waters.
